Flag USA by WheelsFLAGUSA by Wheels is an excellent example of multi-layered intersectional art.  The background fields of various colors are offset by white intersectional art components.  The 50 stars are each unique and while it was not conceived this way, the overall effect is that there are 50 bullet holes shot from the backside of the flag.  What does that mean to you?  How does it relate to the current political situation of the United States?

It’s not Fourth of July or Memorial Day or even Flag Day so why this flag?  A series seems to be developing based on icons… religious symbol, flag(s), what other icons can you think of?

Since the background of this artwork is primarily white, the “drop shadow” was added so that you could get an idea of where the edges are located.  There is no drop shadow on the print you will get when you purchase your print.

BONUS 2 – Original 24 x 36 painting

Once all 100 limited edition prints are sold, the collector who purchases the largest number of “FLAGUSA” prints will be awarded a 24 x 36 painting of this work by Wheels.  In the event of a tie, the first person to make their purchase(s) will be awarded the painting.  The painting will be acrylic on canvas and signed by the artist.  There will be a charge for shipping and packaging based on the location of the lucky collector.
